What is the Portrait Project?

I love faces. I'm a firm believer that every face, every person is beautiful. Each has such divinely unique characteristics; such rare features culminate in a masterpiece that no one else but the wearer possesses.

Each one of our beautiful faces, our fellow brothers and sisters, was created by a loving God, our Heavenly Father. 

He loves us, and as His children our worth is above measure and beyond our own finite comprehension! He loves us so much that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins so that we could be saved and forgiven of our own sins and return to live with God and our families again.

So, what does this have to do with the Portrait Project?  Essentially, It is my attempt to capture both the outer beauty of us as human beings, and the inner divine worth we each posses. My goal is to show people how beautiful they truly are; to remind them of their divine beauty. To tell them: you're worth it. You're amazing. You're loved.

My hope is that as we look into the faces of our fellow brothers and sisters, we will begin to love each other more, be kinder to each other, be more forgiving, more generous, more helpful, more peaceful, more Christ-like. 

So, because of you, the Portrait Project was born.
