Welcome back to my Monday Moodboard where I curate a wedding I would love to photograph! This week I've designed a wedding for a couple that loves color and boldness with simplicity. The words that came to mind to me to guide my design process were: rich colors, monochrome, classic touches, and statement pieces. The following mood boards were created with Pinterest and can be found here.

First, we have our bridal look. For this couple, I'm liking a non-white dress for the bride with a veil in the same color. Alternatively, a classic white dress with a fun colored veil would do the trick. I'm also loving a small red bouqet with one kind of flower. Red works as an accent to almost any color. It's bold yet classic and will create a lovely pair with the statement dress.

For the groom, I'm liking a white jacket with black pants and a black bowtie or other unique necktie. Another option is an all white grooms look. The white on the groom adds a nod to a traditional bride's white wedding dress and balances out this bride's colorful dress choice. I like a bold colored dress shoe paired with a bright colored sock. Or, if the groom isn't feeling super bold, either a bright shoe or sock would work as well. Similar to the bride's bouquet, a simple boutonniere with a statement flower is fun and adds another pop of color.

Now, the wedding party! To give the lovely fun-colored bride's dress her time to shine, I like her bridesmaids in light, white or almost white neutrals. Depending on the season, darker earthy neutrals would also be a great option. The bridesmaid bouqets would also be small, single flower bouqets. Each unique to the bridesmaid but none as daring as the bride's bouquet. I like the groomsmen in classic black tuxes with black bowties and a pop of color in the boutonniere, similar to the groom. In a warmer month, a light linen suit to match the bridesmaids would also look lovely. These choices help keep the feeling of simplicity next to the boldness of the bride and groom.

Now we've made it to the cake and decorations! I'm loving the unique take on the classic wedding cake: giant, single tiered cakes, either round or long and thin as shown above. For the table settings I like the idea of continuing that pop of red from the bride's bouqet, while keeping the flowers sparse and monochrome on the table, mixed in with tall white tapered candles. Another option as shown above is the monochrome yellow flowers swirled around with matching candles. This color can be changed to match whatever the main color of choice is for the evening. I'm loving the cobalt blue of the table numbers as well. A hint of cobalt elevates any space in my opinion.
Thanks for reading! If this wedding feels so YOU, I can't wait to photograph it!
