Sheep Drive 2024

Attending and photographing my neighbor's annual sheep drive to Stone Eden Farm is one of my favorite New Year traditions. It brings me back to a world I dream of where neighbors gather together, slow down, and take part in something that has taken place around the world for thousands of years. For a moment I can imagine I'm in Scotland or some other far away place with frosty, sheltered mornings, which is stuck in my mind in a time of simplicity and connection. Then, the sheep wander past us, a great hive of holy steam calling us to the now, and together we smile with wonderment.
